Move gently. Feel better. All across Europe.
Certified trainers in 15 European countries teach the Tai Chi for Health programs of Dr Paul Lam: safe, easy-to-learn tai chi that supports balance, mobility and calm.

One method, many countries, one community
We are an informal network of instructors and trainers certified by the Tai Chi for Health Institute. We come from 15 countries and speak many languages, but we share one way of teaching.
Share
We share teaching experience, materials and ideas across borders.
Practise together
We meet online and in person to practise and to keep our skills fresh.
In your language
We help people find a class in their own country and their own language.
Connected
We follow the standards and code of ethics of the Tai Chi for Health Institute.
Tai Chi for Health Europe is an informal network, not an official body of the Tai Chi for Health Institute. Certification is done only by the Institute: taichiforhealthinstitute.org.

Safe, easy to learn, and backed by research
Tai Chi for Health takes classical tai chi and makes it simpler and safer, so people can feel the health benefits sooner.
Safety first
You always move within your own comfort zone. Movements can be made smaller or done seated.
Easy to learn
Short sets of movements, built up step by step. No experience or fitness needed.
Research-based
According to the Institute, more than 30 medical studies support the programs. The CDC and the Arthritis Foundation in the USA recommend Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention.

Small steps, clear principles
All our instructors use the Stepwise Progressive Teaching Method: one small step at a time, practised until it feels natural, before the next step is added.
Every class starts with a warm-up, moves gently through a set of tai chi movements and ends with a cool-down. The focus is on the essential tai chi principles, not on perfect form. That is why people of every age and ability can join.
